How to obtain Nauru citizenship by investment: step‑by‑step process

1.

Preliminary check

A compliance specialist reviews the investor’s background and sources of income. The check helps identify possible obstacles in advance.

The check takes 2 working days.

2.

Preparation and submission of documents

Lawyers prepare the documents and complete government forms. The documents are translated and notarised.

The completed set of documents is uploaded to the government system, so there is no need to send original documents to Nauru. The investor pays the government fees.

3.

Initial applicant review

The program office reviews the documents and issues a confirmation that the application has been submitted.

4.

Due Diligence and decision on citizenship

The program office conducts a Due Diligence check on the investor and their family members and prepares a recommendation on the grant of citizenship. At this stage, the investor and their relatives may be invited to an interview.

The investor’s documents are sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of Nauru, which makes the final decision on the grant of citizenship.

5.

Transfer of the investment

The applicant transfers the investment and pays the passport fees. This must be done within 30 days after receiving approval.

6.

Receiving the Nauru passport 🔥

The investor receives a naturalisation certificate, then a passport. The document is delivered through a licensed agent. The passport is valid for 10 years, or 5 years for minors.
