Fewer EU countries grant residence permits through property investment. Greece remains one of them: investors qualify for a Golden Visa by investing at least €250,000 in specific types of property. This is one of the lowest investment thresholds among EU residence-by-investment routes.

The €250,000 threshold applies only to specific types of property. Investors can buy protected buildings for restoration or former industrial premises for conversion into residential property. Old factories and warehouses can become modern apartment complexes, while historic buildings can be restored as apartments with their original architecture preserved.
