St Kitts and Nevis Passport Visa-Free Countries in 2026

Citizens of St Kitts and Nevis can visit 103 countries visa-free. They can enter the Schengen Area without a visa, while trips to the UK require an Electronic Travel Authorisation, which is usually obtained online within 15 minutes.

For comparison, a Türkiye passport allows visa-free travel to 72 countries and territories, but it does not provide visa-free access to the Schengen Area.

Types of entry requirements for travellers

A visa is an official permit to enter and stay in a country. It may be pasted into a passport or placed in it as a stamp, or it may be issued electronically.

Depending on the traveller’s citizenship and the visa regime, a visa of one of four types is required to enter other countries.

1. Tourist visa

To obtain this document, an applicant needs to apply to the consulate of the destination country. They need to provide round-trip tickets, a hotel booking or the address of their place of residence, and a bank statement confirming that they have enough money to stay in the country.

Applicants for a tourist visa pay a consular fee for processing the application, usually €45 to 100. If the application is submitted through a visa centre, a service fee of €25 to 40 also needs to be paid.

A visa is issued for a limited period, for example, 30 days. It can be single-entry, which means it allows only one entry into the country during its validity period, or multiple-entry, which means it does not limit the number of visits.

2. Electronic visa — eVisa

This is the same tourist visa, but without visiting a consulate. A person fills out an application form on a website and uploads scans of their passport, tickets, and hotel booking. The application is reviewed by a consular officer, and the applicant receives a decision within one to five days.

After the application is approved, a file with the visa is sent by email. It needs to be printed out or saved on a smartphone to show it to a border officer upon entry.

3. Electronic Travel Authorisation — eTA

This electronic document is obtained in the same way as an eVisa — remotely through the official website or mobile app of the consulate. The difference is that tickets, hotel bookings, and bank statements do not need to be provided.

To obtain an eTA, a traveller fills out an application form, answers several questions, and takes a selfie. A confirmation email usually arrives within 15 minutes.

The cost of an eTA is €7 to 20, depending on the country and the applicant’s citizenship. With a St Kitts and Nevis passport, an eTA for the UK costs £10.

4. Visa on arrival

A stamp or sticker is placed in the passport at a separate counter in the arrivals hall of the airport. This procedure takes time and may cost money, usually $30 to 100.

5. Visa-free entry

A person buys a ticket, takes their passport, and travels to the country, taking into account the number of permitted days.

Under a visa-free regime, there is no need to submit an application in advance, fill out a form, or visit a consulate. A border officer at the airport or train station checks the passport and places an entry stamp.

St Kitts and Nevis citizenship allows holders to expand the list of visa-free destinations to 133 countries. These include Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

Travel to the UK with a St Kitts and Nevis passport

St Kitts and Nevis citizens can travel to the UK with an Electronic Travel Authorisation, or eTA. It is not a visa but a digital permission to travel. It must be obtained before boarding a flight or another form of transport to the UK.

An eTA allows St Kitts and Nevis citizens to visit the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man for up to 6 months [2] Source: ETA eligibility, UK Government .

The eTA can be used for:

  • tourism;
  • visiting family and friends;
  • business trips;
  • short-term study.

The eTA costs £20. Each traveller needs a separate eTA, including children and babies.

The application is submitted online or through the UK eTA app. To apply, the traveller needs a passport they will use for the trip, an email address, a payment card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and a photo of their face.

A decision is usually sent by email within 1 day. However, the UK authorities recommend allowing up to 3 working days.

After approval, the eTA is linked to the passport used in the application. The traveller only needs to show this passport when travelling to the UK.

The eTA is valid for 2 years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. During this period, the holder can travel to the UK multiple times.

An eTA does not guarantee entry. A border officer makes the final decision at the UK border. Travellers may need to apply for a Standard Visitor visa instead of an eTA if they have a criminal record or previous refusal of entry to the UK.

How to obtain St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by investment

Foreigners obtain St Kitts and Nevis citizenship by naturalisation based on investment. They choose one of the options:

  • $250,000 — a non-refundable contribution to the Federal Consolidated Fund;
  • $250,000 — investment in social and infrastructure projects;
  • $325,000 — purchase of real estate.

In St Kitts and Nevis, there are no residence requirements for investors. However, all new citizenship by investment applicants must submit biometrics. The National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme was launched on April 14th, 2026.

St Kitts and Nevis citizens must replace their ordinary passports with biometric passports by July 31st, 2027. To complete biometric enrolment, they provide a digital facial image and fingerprints.

The investor registers on the official government platform through a licensed agent and then books an appointment at an approved biometric collection centre. The appointment can be rescheduled, but no later than 24 hours before the agreed date.

Biometrics can be submitted at the following locations:

  • Türkiye — Istanbul;
  • UAE — Abu Dhabi and Dubai;
  • United Kingdom — London;
  • Hong Kong;
  • Canada — Toronto and Ottawa.

Together with the investor, a passport can be obtained by a spouse, financially dependent children up to and including 25 years old, and parents over 55. St Kitts and Nevis citizenship is passed on by inheritance to the investor’s children.

Access to the citizenship programme is officially closed to citizens of Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, Iraq, Russia, and North Korea [3] Source: Banned nationalities, CIU St Kitts and Nevis .

To participate in the citizenship programme, an investor needs to buy real estate from the list approved by the government of St Kitts and Nevis.

For $325,000, an investor buys a share in a resort complex, hotel, or condominium. To qualify for citizenship by purchasing a private house, the amount must be at least $600,000.

The property can be sold and the investment recovered after 7 years.

Consular officers can also provide guidance in urgent situations, for example, if a citizen loses their passport, faces problems with local authorities, or needs to contact relatives. The exact scope of assistance depends on the country of stay and the type of consular office.
