Countries to visit visa-free with a Grenada passport

Citizens of Grenada can enter 165 countries without obtaining a traditional visa in advance. Some destinations allow visa-free entry, while others require an eVisa, a visa on arrival, or an Electronic Travel Authorisation, ETA.

Electronic visa. Citizens of Grenada can enter 35 countries with an electronic visa. To obtain an e-visa, applicants do not need to visit an embassy: they fill out an application form on the embassy’s website, attach the documents, pay the visa fee, and print out the approved visa.

Electronic Travel Authorisation. Citizens of Grenada need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation, ETA, or complete online registration before travelling to 7 countries. This is not a traditional visa, but prior permission to travel to the country.

Visa on arrival. Citizens of Grenada need a visa on arrival for 11 countries. This type of visa is issued at passport control after crossing the country’s border and usually requires a fee.

China, Singapore, and Hong Kong

Investors with a Grenada passport visit three Asian business hubs visa-free. They stay in China and Singapore for up to 30 days and in Hong Kong for up to 90 days.

CARICOM and OECS States

Citizens of Grenada may travel to many CARICOM, or the Caribbean Community, countries visa-free, including Barbados, Belize, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago. At the general CARICOM level, the allowed stay is up to 180 days.

In the OECS, Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, Grenadian nationals may also stay for up to 180 days. They may also work in these countries without a separate work permit. The OECS member states are Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Travelling to the UK with a Grenada passport

Citizens of Grenada visit the UK without a Standard Visitor Visa for up to 6 months. Before travelling, they need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation, ETA. This is not a visa, but digital permission to travel to the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, or the Isle of Man. Each traveller needs their own authorisation, including children.

To obtain the ETA, applicants apply online or through the UK ETA app. During the application, travellers provide passport details, upload or take a photo of their face, and pay the fee. The application costs £20. A decision usually arrives by email within a day. However, applicants should allow up to 3 working days.

The authorisation is linked digitally to the passport used in the application and is valid for 2 years or until the passport expires. During this period, citizens of Grenada may visit the UK multiple times for tourism, family visits, short business trips, short-term study, or transit through a UK airport if they pass through border control.

Travellers cannot use the ETA to stay in the UK for longer than 6 months, work for a UK company or as a self-employed person, claim public funds, live in the UK through frequent visits, marry, or register a civil partnership.

Entry is not guaranteed. Border officers make the final decision when the traveller arrives in the UK.

Travelling to the US with a Grenada passport

The US has tightened immigration controls for Caribbean countries, but citizens of Grenada are not currently subject to entry restrictions. The visa type depends on the purpose of travel.

E-2 Visa to the US

Grenada is the only Caribbean country that has a citizenship by investment programme and allows investors to apply for an E-2 Visa to the US.

This visa allows an investor to live in the US with their family for up to 5 years and work in their own company. The visa may be renewed multiple times, provided the business continues to operate and generate income.

Before applying for an E-2 Visa, an investor must live in Grenada for at least 3 years.

B-1/B-2 Visitor Visa to the US

Citizens of Grenada obtain a B-1/B-2 Visitor Visa to the US for up to 10 years. This visa usually allows foreign nationals to stay in the country for up to 180 days per visit.

A B-1/B-2 Visitor Visa allows short business trips, tourism, and medical treatment in the US. It does not allow its holder to work or study in the country.

Since April 2nd, 2026, B-1/B-2 Visa applicants travelling on a Grenada passport are subject to the US visa bond requirement. If the applicant is otherwise eligible for the visa, a consular officer determines the bond amount at the interview. How investors obtain a Grenada passport

To become citizens of Grenada, investors make an investment in the country’s economy of at least $235,000. Two investment options are available:

1. Contribution to the National Transformation Fund. The money is used to develop alternative energy, agriculture, and tourism.
2. Real estate purchase from the list of projects approved by the Government of Grenada. The list mainly includes hotel and resort complexes. The investment amount is usually $350,000 and, in some cases, $270,000.

If investors buy real estate, they may rent it out and receive income. Estimated rental yield is usually 2 to 5% per year, but it depends on the property, management conditions, and market demand. The investment may be returned by selling the property after 5 years.

How to include family members in the application
